Rosey Apiaries and Bee Farm formally got its start in 2006 when founder, Tim, was given a couple of bee swarms and caught a couple. Now run by him and his daughter Kayla, they have 11 apiaries across Greene, Sullivan, and Washington Counties (about 80-100 hives total). They take pride in producing clean, natural honey that anyone can feel good about consuming. Kayla enjoys making beeswax candles with the wax produced by their bees.
Tim’s favorite part is watching the bees. They’re all working together for a collective good. Per Tim, humans are fallible and prone to vice, but the bees keep working for the good of the hive. He says this is the most satisfying ‘work’ experience he’s had.
