Farm Fresh Fit and Farmacy Fit Walking Programs

Want to walk a mile at Jonesborough Farmers Markets and earn tokens to spend on fresh fruits and vegetables?

This program is perfect for you! It’s available at each summer farmers market, May to October and awards $5 in tokens to use on produce. Tokens can be used at the summer farmers market as well as the Winter Market November through April.

How it works:

  1. Check in at the information booth from 8 - 11:30 am.

  2. Walk about a half mile on the path illustrated to the right.

  3. When you reach the pond at Barkley Creek Park (what’s commonly called the Goose Pond), find the dog waste cleanup station with the bags and trash can. On the back of the pole, there will be a magnet.

  4. Remember what’s on the magnet! Or take a picture!

  5. Walk about a half mile back to the information booth.

  6. Tell the staff or volunteers what’s on the magnet.

  7. Get your tokens! They can be spent on fresh fruits, vegetables, mushrooms, and herbs at the market.

The path takes you from the market area and onto Main Street for a few blocks. At the Eureka Inn, turn left down South 1st Ave., then right onto the path before Woodrow Ave. You’ll walk behind the church, next to the Chuckey Depot Museum, and keep going until you reach the pond.

Would you or your business like to contribute to or sponsor this great program?

Use the button below to donate securely online or print and return this sponsorship form to Boone Street Market at 101 Boone St., Jonesborough, TN, 37659.

100% of the tokens redeemed by vendors is returned to them, so your contribution DIRECTLY IMPACTS our local farmers! From 2021 to 2024, we have returned almost $50,000 to our farmers through this program alone!

The program grew so much in popularity, and we can’t thank everyone who donated to the program enough!
