More Information On This Vendor
Purple Valley Farm got its start in 2015 with two bee hives. In 2017, the hives were relocated to their current location, and the bees now have a 5-acre organic heirloom fruit orchard to roam. 2018 brought a new member of the farming family and two additional hives. Purple Valley operates the old-fashioned way: sustainably harvesting honey by hand and bottling one jar at a time. The honey is never heated, filtered, or added to, and no antibiotics or chemicals are used to maintain the hives (these can cause a buildup of wax, contaminate the honey, and cause deformities in new bees). They make sure to limit the honey they harvest to ensure the bees have enough stored to make it through the winter and early spring months before the flowers bloom.
Purple Valley’s product line-up includes creamed and raw honey, caramels made with their honey, and chocolate turtles using their caramel.
