Green Pasture Farm started direct-selling in January 2020 and sits on 10 acres with greenhouses. GPF grows pesticide-free hydroponic vegetables with some other seasonal produce to Certified Naturally Grown standards. In addition to the lettuce pictured on the left, Green Pasture also hydroponically grows tomatoes and cucumbers,.
GPF raises a small herd of grass-fed cattle and non-GMO, grain-fed chickens for hatching and egg laying. They expanded in 2021 by adding two greenhouses, bringing their total to four - more space for producing quality, hydroponically-grown produce!
They have a farm stand in Chuckey, where they offer not only their goods, but act as a retailer for others! They’re also a dealer for Sunrise Farms, which produces non-GMO feed out of Virginia.
